Laying here in bed next to you
Knowing that just in a matter of hours
You'll be gone, it makes my heart ache.
To know that for days I won't feel your kiss
A warm embrace or see a smile when I get home
After a long day apart
Knowing that I will look over
At your empty side of the bed
And wondering if you feel the same...
It may be only temporary
But I still hate the thought of missing you
So badly that everything within me feels incomplete.
I can't be whole without you near
I can't find the words to tell you how much
That I will miss you when you're gone...
The more I think about it,
The more it tears me apart inside
But I can bear it
As long as it is only temporary
And you come home back to me as soon as you can.

Only Temporary
