She sings her song of woe
Embracing the darkness of night
Her heart grieves the loss
Of one she left behind long ago
Returning to the place
Where she said her last good-bye
She haunts and wails in the night
Her spirit waning as the moon
And her soul disappears with the dawn
To know she gave up everything
One night under the moon
Beneath a old elm tree
Makes her return
As past regrets she cannot move on from
And holds her to the hallowed ground
From which she said good-bye.
